Daylight Robbery

Recently I have been looking at how to calculate rates for some freelance work I am going to be doing, and today I learnt one thing that is hardly surprising. I have a long, long time to go before I can earn in an hour, what my bank charges me (on a student account) for being unable to pay a direct debit. Natwest charges £38 for a failed payment, whatever its value (which in this case was £5.99), which is bloody outrageous considering they haven't suffered any inconvenience. Of course they are totally within their rights to rip customers off like this, and no one can do a bloody thing about it.

Needless to say, I'm not happy. Oh well, I'm pretty sure that money only goes to pay the bonuses of the guys at the top anyway. I guess they have got to get their bonuses some how.
